Dates or Bananas can be substituted for 1 cup sugar in
your recipes. To tone down the banana taste use slightly
ripe bananas add up to a teaspoon of lemon juice.

Combine 1 cup mashed, overripe bananas or dates with
just a few
tablespoons water; puree until smooth, adding
water as
needed to get a smooth consistency.
