How to make Dairy-Free Magic Shell Ice Cream Topping
How to make Dairy-Free
Magic Shell Ice Cream Topping
Yield 3/4 cup magic shell, about 4-6 servings.
White Chocolate or Chocolate
Total Time 5 minutes
The reason I use Coconut oil is that it
hardens quickly when the sauce hits the
ice cream.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup dairy-free (kosher pareve)
semi-sweet chocolate chips
or chopped chocolate bar
Plus
3 tbs. coconut oil measured when solid
I have also used 1/4 cup cacao sweetened,
with 1-1/2 tbs. maple syrup
Mixed with 2 tbs. coconut oil.

TO MAKE HALF THAT QUANTITY
1/4 cup chips
1-1/2 tbs. coconut oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the white or chocolate chips and coconut
oil to a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave in 20-30 second increments, making
sure to stir very well after each increment, until
completely melted and smooth.
Allow to cool for a few minutes, then top on
ice cream of choice.
When completely cool, store in an airtight container
in the fridge. (Coconut oil is perishable).
Warm, and stir well, before topping ice cream again.
Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a
microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the mixture in 20-
second increments, stirring well in between until the
ingredients have combined to form a smooth mixture.
Set aside and let cool to room temperature.
Grab a bowl of ice cream and pour the
Magic Shell over the top. Wait for the shell to
harden, Crack it with a spoon and dig in.
